I’m Going Back to Dance Tomorrow for the First Time in Over 5 Months!!!

Today I'm writing a post on a special occasion. I’ve been anticipating tomorrow for about a month, because I’ll be going back to dance for the first time in over 5 months. Little did I know March 13th would be my last day in the studio for a long time due to quarantine. Though I’ve known for weeks that I’d be headed back to ballet tomorrow, it didn’t fully sink in till about two days ago. And now, knowing my first ballet class of this school year is almost exactly 24 hours away, I’m a nervous wreck. So many questions...  How will my body take the sudden jump back into dancing? How will I get used to my old schedule again? Do I have  any  chance of getting moved up any time soon after not having danced in so long? What will it be like to be able to see everyone again and to dance outside of home? .......  and so much more. What to Pack in a Dance Bag

  Since dancers around the world are preparing for a new year of dance right now, I thought it’d be appropriate timing to write a blog post about what to pack in your dance bag.  Common or Important Items To start with, having extra dance apparel and shoes is the most important to a lot of people. Most of my friends keep old dance wear in their bags, such as a leotard that is very basic, or a pair of tights that have ripped. These are kept just in case something is forgotten so they have a backup. Next is hair stuff. The most common things to keep on hand are bobby pins, hair bands, a brush, comb, hair nets and hairspray. You can also keep headbands, scrunchies, or other fun stuff. The most important to me personally is deodorant. Whether it’s an offhand day when I forget to put it on completely or a day when my class or classes are more intense then usual, it’s always nice to have some just in case.
